About PHTM

What is PHTM Performance?

PHTM Performance is an independent automotive community and media platform with New England roots. It brings together driver stories, photography, discussions, practical Guides, PHTM DRIVE, PHTM RUN and clothing releases; it is more than a car club.

Is PHTM only for BMW owners, and how can I get involved?

No. BMWs are part of PHTM’s beginnings, but other makes and builds are welcome. Explore the community, submit your build, join a discussion or follow PHTM’s updates.

View details →
What is Join the Signal, and can I unsubscribe?

Join the Signal is PHTM’s opt-in email list for releases, featured builds, community news and confirmed events. Confirm your email after signing up, and use the unsubscribe link in any Signal email when you want to leave.

Accounts & Community

What does a PHTM account provide, and what can guests do?

An account gives you a member identity, profile and My Garage, community participation, Saved Drives and supported PHTM RUN cloud saves. Guests can browse public content, plan and navigate in DRIVE, play RUN and submit eligible guest scores. Sign in with your PHTM email and password; new registration is available only when enabled on the account page.

View details →
What can I put on my member profile?

Your profile can include your public identity, profile photo, biography and automotive gallery. Use account settings to manage visibility and which eligible contributions appear publicly; private or unapproved content is not automatically public. A member profile is separate from an editorial Driver feature.

View details →
What is My Garage?

My Garage keeps vehicle profiles associated with your PHTM account. You can manage vehicle details and visibility, connect eligible gallery photos to your vehicles, and select a Garage vehicle when saving a drive. Creating a vehicle does not automatically publish it to the community.

View details →
What does PHTM Verified mean?

PHTM Verified is free, manually reviewed recognition of an account’s identity or claimed automotive affiliation. Request it through account settings with relevant public evidence; approval is discretionary and can be revoked. A Founding number does not automatically grant verification, and the badge does not guarantee every claim or approve a road, event or photograph.

View details →
How do Community discussions and moderation work?

Browse public discussions without signing in; use your PHTM account to participate. Posts and photos follow publishing, safety and moderation rules: eligible contributions may publish automatically, while others need review or can be restricted or removed. Report inappropriate content through the available reporting controls.

View details →
Where can I find or submit automotive Events?

Browse published Events on the website or in DRIVE, and check the organizer’s details before traveling. Use the existing event-submission form while signed in to propose an event; submissions are reviewed before public listing, and changes are subject to the same controls.

View details →
What is the difference between Guides and Journal?

Guides provide practical automotive reference, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting information. Journal carries editorial stories about builds, people and PHTM. Check a Guide’s vehicle applicability before using it; general information is not a substitute for the correct service information for your car.

How does PHTM Verdict work?

Vote CLEAN BUILD or DREAM BUILD on an open featured build to see website vote totals and percentages. Website votes are separate from Instagram polls; the current browser-based system does not offer a change-vote control.

Drivers & Founding 25

What is the Founding 25, and what does a number mean?

The Founding 25 is PHTM’s original numbered class of drivers, 001–025; founder 000 is separate. Numbers remain with their members and are not reassigned. Once the class is full, the wider community and build submissions remain open.

View details →
How do I join the Founding 25, and what are the benefits?

Apply while applications are available; PHTM reviews each application and does not guarantee acceptance or a number. Established benefits include a permanent identity, Driver profile, recognition and community opportunities; the Founding 25 page lists current details. Physical perks and future opportunities depend on availability and are not guaranteed.

View details →
How is a Driver feature different from a member profile?

A Driver feature is an editorial page with approved photography, vehicle details and a build story, published after PHTM review. A member profile belongs to your account and does not automatically create a Driver feature. Use the Driver application to be considered.

View details →
How do I submit a build or ask to be featured in Verdict?

Use Submit Your Build with your vehicle details, story, clear original photographs and photographer credits; mention Verdict if you want to be considered. Only share images you own or have permission to use. Submitting does not guarantee a feature or publication date.

View details →
Can I update my published Driver feature?

Yes. Contact drivers@phtmperformance.com with your profile link and the details or permitted photos you want updated. Editorial changes are reviewed before publication; update your account profile separately through account settings.

PHTM DRIVE

What is PHTM DRIVE?

PHTM DRIVE is PHTM’s web-based route planning, navigation and automotive discovery app, currently in public beta. Plan a route, generate a drive, explore approved Community Roads and Photo Spots, or find automotive Events.

View details →
Do I need an account to use DRIVE?

No. Guests can explore the app, search for destinations, plan routes and use supported foreground navigation. Sign in to save private drives to your account and use member contribution features.

View details →
How do I plan a route or Generate a Drive?

Search for a destination and add or edit stops, or choose Generate a Drive to request a route from the available time and driving preferences. Review the route and any available alternatives before starting; generated routes and durations depend on available roads and routing data.

View details →
How do Saved Drives work?

While signed in, save a planned drive and reopen it from My drives. Saved routes are private unless you explicitly submit them for community review; rerouting during navigation does not automatically overwrite the saved original.

View details →
What are Community Roads and Photo Spots?

Community Roads are approved shared driving routes; Photo Spots are approved locations for automotive photography. Discover them in DRIVE and use the available member submission controls to propose your own. Approval is not permission to enter private property or a guarantee of road access or safety.

View details →
Can I navigate on my phone or add DRIVE to my Home Screen?

Yes. Open DRIVE in your browser, allow location when requested and start navigation for supported turn-by-turn and voice guidance. On iPhone, open it in Safari and choose Share → Add to Home Screen; supported Android browsers offer an install option. Keep the app visible for the most dependable navigation.

View details →
Does DRIVE work offline, with CarPlay or with the screen locked?

DRIVE needs an internet connection for maps and route updates; offline maps and native CarPlay support are not offered. Browsers can interrupt GPS or speech when backgrounded or the screen locks, so uninterrupted background guidance is not guaranteed. Do not assume live traffic coverage; follow actual road signs and conditions.

View details →
How does DRIVE use my location, and what does Near me control?

Location access starts with your action. Near me controls GPS bias for search; turning it off uses other search context without disabling navigation GPS, and an explicit city still takes priority. Mapbox processes route coordinates and Geoapify processes search text and nearby context; PHTM does not automatically retain a continuous location history, while explicitly saved places and drives remain subject to your privacy choices.

PHTM RUN

What is PHTM RUN, and can I play as a guest?

PHTM RUN is the free highway traffic game: find gaps, build combos and chase a high score. Launch it from the RUN landing page; existing /arcade/ links still open the game directly. No account is required to play or submit eligible guest leaderboard scores.

View details →
Can I save RUN progress to my account or import a guest save?

Yes. Signed-in members can sync supported records, achievements, unlocked vehicles and progression to their PHTM account and recover them after signing in elsewhere. Import this device’s guest progress only when it is yours; the optional merge keeps higher records and earned unlocks without adding the same lifetime totals repeatedly. Wait for Saved to PHTM before relying on another device; pending and guest saves remain browser-local and can be lost if browser data is cleared.

View details →
How do RUN leaderboard names and scores work?

After an eligible run, guests can submit using the existing screen-name workflow; signed-in submissions use the authenticated PHTM username automatically. Scores remain subject to validation, submission limits and moderation. Historical guest entries are not automatically claimed by signing in with a matching name.

View details →
How do RUN achievements, vehicle unlocks and 90s Mode work?

Progress through runs to earn the existing achievements and unlock vehicles, including Founding 25-inspired cars. The game shows each unlock requirement and its available modes, including 90s Mode. Guest progress saves locally; supported account progression syncs when signed in.

Shop, Drops & Orders

What is DROP 001, and what is in the collection?

DROP 001 — THE FIRST MARK is PHTM’s first release, with products grouped into collections. The Shop’s current published listings are the source for the collection, sizes and availability; older previews are not a current product list.

View details →
When does DROP 001 launch?

Scheduled for December 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM (America/New_York). The Shop opens when PHTM makes the Drop LIVE.

View details →
Why is the Shop locked, and does an account or Signal signup unlock it?

A locked Drop uses a separate access password for authorized previews. A PHTM account or Signal signup does not automatically unlock it; use a password only if PHTM has provided one. When the Drop is LIVE, its public storefront no longer requires that password.

View details →
What do Coming Soon and Sold Out mean, and will items restock?

Coming Soon means the item is not open for purchase yet; Sold Out means the product or selected variant is unavailable. Restocks are not guaranteed. Check the product page and official PHTM updates for confirmed availability.

View details →
When will my order ship?

Apparel is generally made to order; the current Shipping policy allows approximately 3–7 business days for production, with transit time additional unless the listing says otherwise. Timing can vary with product availability, volume and holidays; estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

View details →
Will everything in my order arrive together?

Apparel and jet tags are fulfilled separately. Orders containing both arrive in separate packages and may arrive on different days; jet tags are packed and shipped directly by PHTM.

View details →
How do I track an order or get help with delivery?

Use the order confirmation and shipment tracking details provided when available; carrier tracking may take time to show movement. For order questions, contact orders@phtmperformance.com with your order number, or support@phtmperformance.com for a delivery problem.

View details →
Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact orders@phtmperformance.com immediately with your order number and requested change. Changes may not be possible once processing or production begins, and are not confirmed until PHTM responds; applicable consumer rights still apply.

View details →
What is the return policy?

Made-to-order apparel generally cannot be returned for a change of mind or an incorrectly selected size or color, except where law requires otherwise. Read the current Returns policy before purchasing and contact PHTM before sending anything back; applicable consumer rights are not excluded.

View details →
What if I receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item?

Contact support@phtmperformance.com promptly with your order number, a description and clear photos, preferably within 7 days of delivery. That preferred reporting period does not limit your legal rights. PHTM will review the issue and provide the applicable replacement, refund or return instructions.

View details →
Do you ship internationally, and how much is shipping?

Available destinations, shipping methods and charges appear at checkout. Where international delivery is offered, customs can affect timing and destination-specific import charges may apply. Review the Shipping policy or contact PHTM before ordering if anything is unclear.

View details →
How do checkout and payments work?

Checkout and payment processing are handled by Shopify; use the payment methods shown for your order. Launching the Shop does not require creating a PHTM member account, but checkout may require contact and delivery details or Shopify authentication under its current settings. PHTM does not receive your raw card details.
