Use the correct cable order
For charging, the manual requires both cables disconnected. Disconnect negative first and reconnect it last. This concerns the twelve-volt battery; it is not a high-voltage battery procedure.

Check after reconnection
Specified stability, driver-assistance, TPMS and brake indicators may temporarily illuminate. A short safe drive above twelve mph (twenty km/h) should clear them; persistent lights need dealer inspection. Replacement battery specifications must match the original.
