Read the pump label
For the 1.5 L model, Acura recommends unleaded premium rated at least 91 pump octane. Lower octane can reduce performance and cause occasional metallic knocking.

Check blend content
Gasoline with up to 15 percent ethanol is permitted. Do not use methanol-containing gasoline. Acura recommends detergent gasoline and avoiding manganese-based additives such as MMT where alternatives are available.

Respond to symptoms
If undesirable running symptoms follow a fill-up, try another station or brand. If the malfunction light comes on after unsuitable additives, arrange service. This entry is scoped to 1.5 L; do not substitute its octane figure for the Type S requirement.
