A dirty windshield around the camera or excessive camera temperature can cancel LKAS. Inspect the area behind the rearview mirror before treating unavailable assistance as a steering fault.

Clean without touching the lens
Keep the windshield around the camera clean. Keep cleaner off the camera lens, do not touch the lens and do not attach stickers around it.

Know the limit
LKAS depends on detectable lane markings and suitable conditions. If system-applied steering repeatedly moves the vehicle toward either lane line, switch LKAS off and have the vehicle checked. Cleaning is not a camera calibration procedure.
