STEP 01

Check before the appointment

A recently dead or disconnected battery can leave readiness incomplete. This check reports readiness; it does not clear a fault or guarantee an emissions pass.

STEP 02

Observe the lamp

Set power mode ON without starting. The malfunction lamp illuminates for fifteen to twenty seconds. If it then goes off, readiness codes are set. Five to ten flashes indicate they are not set.

STEP 03

Plan next steps

If not ready, follow the complete owner-manual preparation and drive procedure or seek service before returning for testing. Do not disconnect the battery to try to make readiness complete.
