Open and refill
Press the BMW emblem at the front of the vehicle to expose the filler, then add washer fluid to the desired level. The FAQ does not give a capacity or a universal chemical mixture, so do not borrow a volume from another BMW model.

Check the windshield function
From the driver’s seat, operate the right-hand steering-column lever by pulling it to command windshield washing. Confirm that the system delivers fluid once refilled.

Camera cleaning has a separate command
The same washer supply also supports front and rear camera cleaning. BMW points to the Parking section of iDrive for that operation. Use the appropriate command when checking camera cleaning rather than assuming every windshield-wash command runs all camera nozzles.
