Apply the BMW product
Following BMW’s product-specific method, spray the cleaner onto the Alcantara and work it into the material with a sponge or cloth. Give it a brief opportunity to act. BMW does not specify a timed soak, so do not invent a long dwell period. Keep the work confined to the identified covering and follow the container’s current handling directions.

Remove the cleaner and remaining dirt
BMW specifies warm water and a clean sponge or cloth for removing the cleaner. A soft brush may be used carefully on more persistent dirt. Combine that with Alcantara’s moisture limit: wring the cloth or sponge thoroughly and avoid saturating the covering. This is a controlled wiping process, not a rinse with running water.
Dry, then brush
Allow the material to dry thoroughly; Alcantara’s non-removable-upholstery guidance allows overnight drying. Once dry, use a soft-bristle brush gently to restore the surface. Do not substitute stronger rubbing while the material is damp for the final dry brushing step.

Final check
Editorial check: inspect the dry covering under even light, compare cleaned and adjacent areas, and confirm the wheel is ready to grip before driving. Photograph a persistent mark and record the product already used before asking BMW or a material-care specialist for advice. Do not keep escalating the chemical strength simply because one cleaning pass did not remove a mark.
