STEP 01

Open the vehicle’s status menu

While parked, open CAR and then Vehicle status in iDrive. The available branches include Tire Pressure Monitor, Engine oil level, Check Control messages and Required services. Select the branch that matches the issue rather than treating every status item as a maintenance reminder.

STEP 02

Read the relevant entry

For an active message, open Check Control and record its wording. For planned maintenance, open Required services and note the item displayed. Use the owner’s manual for the meaning and response to that specific message; this navigation guide does not provide a universal diagnosis.

STEP 03

Find the app view

In the My BMW App, select the Vehicle tab at the bottom, then Check Status beneath the vehicle image. This provides another access point to vehicle status.
