Understand the valve arrangement

This S-Type system uses valve simulators instead of retaining the original MDS valves. Borla directs the installer to transfer original actuators onto brackets on the replacement exhaust. That distinction matters when comparing a complete kit with used components.

Keep the required finishing parts

Borla supplies no tips with 140677: the factory bezel/valance is retained. The system is listed with 2.75-inch pipe and a merge X-pipe. Include actuator and factory finishing-part availability in the pre-install inventory.

Avoid an incomplete purchase

Ask a seller to identify every bracket and the exact part number, and compare the box contents with the linked instruction sheet. A similar-looking exhaust with missing simulator hardware does not establish this configuration. This reference explains the product architecture; use the manufacturer’s full procedure for actuator attachment and exhaust installation.
