Expose the intake path
Support the raised car on stands. Follow the PDF’s fastener map to remove the bumper, disconnecting side-marker wiring with a helper supporting the cover. Remove the MAF sensor, fresh-air tube and airbox. Reposition the diverter using the supplied brackets rather than discarding it.

Fit without strain
Loosen the radiator support as illustrated to pass the tube beneath it, then restore the support. Fit the tube bracket, align the original throttle-body hose and install the filter. Wipe excess filter oil away and tighten its clamp only until snug; overtightening can cut the base.

Verify before closing
Refit the MAF with supplied screws. Keep its harness more than 1/2 inch from moving components. Check smooth idle and absence of warning lights before reinstalling the bumper. Investigate leaks or missed electrical connections if operation changes.
