What the number means
The system estimates remaining pad life using vehicle information and sensor feedback. Its estimate adapts to driving habits. When replacement is needed, the cluster provides a message with estimated remaining mileage.

Reset the correct axle
Open Brake Pad Life in the instrument cluster. Use the steering-wheel thumbwheel or trip-reset stem, as fitted, to choose the serviced axle. Confirm YES using the thumbwheel, or press the trip-reset stem.
