Read the warning pattern

Chevrolet describes a steady warning for low tire pressure. A yellow lamp that flashes for more than a minute and then stays lit indicates a condition requiring diagnostic service. A malfunctioning monitor cannot reliably warn of a low tire.

STEP 01

Measure before resetting anything

Find the cold-pressure specification on the driver-side door frame or in the manual. Check with a gauge when the vehicle has rested at least three hours or driven no more than one mile. Correct each tire to its specified pressure.

STEP 02

Choose the next action

After a low-pressure correction, driving normally lets the warning clear. A flashing-then-steady warning calls for diagnosis rather than repeated inflation. Record which pattern occurred and the measured pressures for the technician.
