STEP 01

Prepare the bore and carrier

Clean the arm bore with soap and Scotch-Brite, leaving it clean and dry. Apply a thin film of the supplied Loctite 609 around most of the carrier’s outer mating surface. Slide the carrier into the arm with a small turning motion until its shoulder is flush. Use the same orientation on both arms.

STEP 02

Retain the bearing

Fit the retaining cap with its lip facing the arm. Apply a small amount of the specified compound to the screws and tighten each to 95 inch-pounds. Seat the bearing spacers fully; the sheet allows a light tap for the snug fit.
