Inspect and test
Check fasteners/clearance. Start in Park/Neutral with parking brake set; repair leaks or abnormal noises before road test. Investigate rattles and recheck connections periodically.

Account for access fasteners
The ECU bolts are loosened to gain access, although the ECU is not the upgrade being installed. Put that fact in your job notes and include it in the hardware inventory. A final inspection organized only around new parts can overlook fasteners disturbed along the way. Compare the completed bracket locations with the manufacturer’s illustrations before storing the original intake. Record the filter number and installation mileage for later service.
