STEP 01

Apply and work gently

Spray the roof with convertible-top cleaner as its manufacturer directs. Use a damp sponge in circular motions to foam and work the product over the fabric.

STEP 02

Rinse thoroughly

Rinse with plenty of water. MINI also allows completing the wash at a suitable automatic wash, subject to its separate automatic-wash precautions. A roof cleaner does not make every wash program appropriate.

Waterproofing is optional

MINI says waterproofing is not required. If a beading effect is desired, apply a suitable waterproofing product to the fabric with a sponge. Treat that as a separate product-specific application rather than adding it automatically during every cleaning.
