Clean before putting them away
Remove dirt from the wheels and tires before storage. Keep this task separate from wheel removal and refitting, which require the vehicle’s lifting and wheel-fastener instructions.

Choose the storage environment
Store the assemblies in a cool, dry, dark location. Keep oil, grease and solvents away from the rubber. Check the space itself for possible contamination rather than only cleaning the tires.

Create an identifiable storage record
Label which vehicle the assemblies belong to and retain their specifications with the service record. This is an editorial recordkeeping step: the source supplies environmental guidance, not a guaranteed storage life or a universal stacking arrangement.
