What the kit replaces and retains
The package combines an intake tube, airbox, oiled filter, silicone hoses, clamps and mounting hardware. It is designed to work with the stock intake duct and uses a machined MAF housing. The presence of several silicone pieces does not mean every supplied piece is used in every configuration. Lay out the retained-sound-generator arrangement on the bench and compare it with the kit drawing before disassembling the original intake.

Remove and transfer
Unclip lid, slide toward passenger side, detach throttle connection and remove assembly. Remove MAF’s two screws; store sensor safely. Lift lower airbox from grommets. Transfer large grommet and small bushing/metal collar to new box brackets. Attach brackets; install remaining lower bracket beneath the stock bracket above the lower radiator hose.

Install box and pipe
Fit throttle coupler, leaving clamp access. Pass tube through box opening and rotate MAF flange toward lid. Seat lower grommet on post; fasten box to lower bracket. Fit filter, engage tube in coupler and tighten clamps.

Restore every connection
Connect sound-generator hose using small coupler and two clamps. Install MAF with supplied screws; route harness beneath pipe through box slot and reconnect. Restore support bolt and lid with four bolts/washers. Refit reservoir cap/overflow hose; connect fresh-air duct to box with supplied coupler/clamps.

Perform the final check by system
Review the intake path first, including the filter and duct. Then review electrical routing and the retained sound-generator connection. Finally, account for the reservoir cap and overflow hose that were disturbed solely to gain access. This three-pass method is an editorial checking aid, not an additional modification. Inventory removed hardware and compare the finished arrangement with the installation illustrations before closing the hood. If any bracket or hose differs from the expected arrangement, resolve the part mismatch rather than drilling or trimming to make it fit. Record installation mileage and the exact filter supplied for future servicing.
