Begin with the thinner seal
The kit includes two O-ring sizes. Start with the thinner one; PERRIN reserves the thicker option for a cover that remains loose on the original oil cooler. Apply a small amount of engine oil or grease to the selected ring.

Press fully into position
Place the cover over the filter and push down until the O-ring disappears and the cover reaches its intended stop at the engine. Do not mistake a partly visible O-ring for completed seating.
