How-To

Powerflex anti-roll-bar bushes: measure the bar before ordering

Measure the installed anti-roll bar with calipers or a close-fitting spanner.

Measuring an accessible anti-roll bar using Powerflex’s fitting guidance; not a suspension-removal procedure.
Tools
  • Vernier caliper or open-ended spanner set
STEP 01

Use calipers when available

Powerflex identifies a vernier caliper as the most accurate of its two suggested methods. Measure the bar adjacent to the rubber bush and record the dimension and location. Ensure you are measuring the bar rather than the outside of the bush or bracket.

STEP 02

Use an open-ended spanner as a gauge

If calipers are unavailable, try open-ended spanners over the bar alongside the bush. Move through sizes until one fits closely. Its marked size is an indication of the required bush diameter, not a reason to force a tight spanner onto the bar.

STEP 03

Match the actual kit

Use the measurement with the exact vehicle and Powerflex part listing. Resolve an ambiguous fit or between-size reading with the supplier before ordering. Keep the measured value in the installation notes.
