Transfer the rods
Disconnect the battery ground terminal and keep it away from the battery. Release the grounding-wire holder from the original bracket where fitted. Loosen the two tie-down nuts until the rods can unhook from the chassis, then lift the original assembly away.

Seat the bracket evenly
Remove the nuts, transfer both rods to the replacement and start each nut one or two turns. Position the bracket and hook both rods back into their chassis holes. Alternate small tightening increments between nuts until the battery cannot shift sideways and the bracket sits flat.

Restore the ground connection
If the bracket sits crooked, loosen the tighter side and correct it. Reinstall the grounding-wire holder on applicable 2008-onward cars. Reconnect and secure the ground terminal. Check the finished bracket’s seating rather than using extra tightening to compensate for an unsuitable battery.
