Maintenance

Whiteline swaybar: schedule the settling-in check

Plan the specified hardware recheck, alignment review and periodic bushing maintenance.

GUIDE OVERVIEW

Difficulty
Intermediate · 3/5
Time
Allow 10–20 minutes; editorial planning estimate
Vehicle / platform
Whiteline swaybars using Z320 general guidance; exact kit instructions take precedence. No universal torque values supplied.
Tools
  • Exact kit fitting instructions
  • Appropriate torque tools and safe access equipment
STEP 01

Review ride-height checks

Whiteline calls for link assembly and tightening at normal ride height to obtain correct alignment, clearance and operation. Ask the installer to confirm that condition and that supplied replacement hardware was used where required.

STEP 02

Schedule the hardware recheck

Arrange re-tensioning after settling in, no later than 100 kilometers or 60 miles after installation. Use the exact kit and vehicle fastener instructions. Do not apply a guessed universal torque to all link styles.

STEP 03

Check alignment and lubrication

If suspension removal affected alignment, have it checked and corrected. Periodically inspect the system and maintain proper bushing lubrication. Drive cautiously while becoming familiar with changed behavior. A new noise warrants inspection of the installation, rather than immediately choosing a harder adjustment to mask it.
