Remove and position
Remove the five illustrated M8 bolts. Release both sides of the charge-pipe clip into their catches and remove the intercooler. Replace three throttle-body bolts while loosely fitting the brackets, then replace the fourth with the supplied bolt.

Set the bracket locations
Temporarily refit the intercooler. Use the supplied M8x16 upper bolt and M8x30 lower bolt, plus the original mounting hardware. Tighten the bracket-to-intercooler bolts to locate the brackets, then remove the intercooler again. Torque all four throttle-body M6 bolts to 6 ft-lb.

Make the final connection
Return the retaining clip to its engagement position and reinstall the intercooler, checking that it locks into the charge pipe. Torque all M8 bolts to 12 ft-lb. Restore the strut bar. Check smooth idle and secure plumbing before a gentle drive.
