Fit loosely
Remove all six strut-top nuts, position both feet and loosely reinstall the original nuts. Center the bar between its feet. Install both caps with all hardware started and their gaps even. The bar ends are not intended to bottom inside the feet.

Torque in stages
Torque the six strut-top nuts to 14 ft-lb. Tighten the eight M6 cap screws from inner to outer, first to 5 ft-lb and then to 8 ft-lb. If needed, loosen cap screws to slide the bar into final alignment.

Protect nearby components
For 2015–2021 STI, split and secure the supplied protective hose over the adjacent fuel line. For 2015–2021 WRX, move the harness bracket slightly or secure the unclipped harness to the lower harness as illustrated to obtain clearance.
