Open the mounting area
Release the two intake-scoop fasteners and remove the scoop, keeping those fasteners for reuse. Remove the M6 screw holding the auxiliary fuse block to the chassis. Position the shield so its holes align with the chassis.

Start all mounts loosely
Install the two lower M6x14 screws with washers without tightening. Put the supplied spacer between the shield and plastic bracket, then start the longer M6x30 screw and washer. With all mounts aligned, tighten the M6 screws to 8 ft-lb.

Confirm filter separation
Check that the air filter does not touch the shield. If it does, loosen the intake mounting brackets and realign as instructed. Once clearance is established, restore the intake scoop with its original plastic fasteners.
