Slow or absent cranking
Read any remote-related message and ensure the key is within operating range. Have the battery checked and inspect fuses using the model-specific fuse procedure, or request dealer inspection.

Normal cranking without starting
Review the normal starting procedure. Check the immobilizer indicator, fuel level and fuses. A blinking immobilizer indicator prevents starting.

Escalate a persistent fault
If these checks do not resolve the problem, arrange assistance and towing. Do not replace a starter solely because the engine failed to start.
