Start with the family

Touring is the restrained direction, S-Type the middle choice and ATAK the more aggressive sound direction. Availability depends on the exact vehicle. These labels help narrow the brief but do not provide a universal decibel scale between engines.

Compare the complete setup

Listen to examples with the same engine, transmission, catalytic converters and other exhaust parts. Record cold-start volume separately from warm cruising sound. A phone video can demonstrate character but cannot reproduce cabin loudness reliably.

Treat claims as claims

Borla advertises anti-drone engineering. PHTM has not independently tested every application, and that statement is not a promise about a car with different upstream hardware. For a daily driver, prioritize a supported configuration, long-distance comfort and clear return conditions over the loudest clip.
