The final stage is not immediate
CTEK explains that the XS 0.8 maintenance program uses a float stage before its longer-term pulse stage. The float period can last up to ten days. Not reaching the final indicator immediately therefore does not automatically mean the charger is defective.

Distinguish this from a charging failure
Check the actual indicator sequence and any error indication against the XS 0.8 manual. Confirm battery compatibility, connection and condition. This explanation does not mean every charger stuck at an earlier stage should simply be left indefinitely.

Use the exact model’s instructions
Other CTEK models can use different programs and indicators. If the battery will not hold charge or the unit reports an error, follow troubleshooting guidance and test the battery. Do not transfer the ten-day explanation to a different product or an unresolved fault.
