Start with eligibility and a healthy baseline
Confirm support for the specific VIN, engine-control unit and software state with the tuning provider. Record current faults and resolve unexplained drivability problems before adding a calibration. A supported engine name does not guarantee that every software version, region or modified car is ready to flash. This checklist does not endorse a particular tune or claim a power gain.
Match the map to the car and fuel
bootmod3’s setup guide requires choosing a map for the installed hardware and octane. Write down the exact map name, fuel requirement and hardware list. If any component is uncertain, stop and ask the calibrator. Do not treat a “stage” label from another company as a compatibility standard or select a map on the assumption that more aggressive is better.
Prepare power and communication
Install the current app and use the supported connection method. Follow the provider’s charger and vehicle-preparation instructions. Arrange a stable location and enough uninterrupted time. Save the provider’s recovery/support instructions somewhere accessible independently of the device used for flashing. Do not begin a session when the battery or connection is already unreliable.
Check the result in stages
Confirm completion in the app, follow its restart instructions and check for unexpected faults. Verify ordinary idle and low-load operation before arranging any controlled logging the calibrator requests. Record the software revision with the build history. Keep emissions compliance, fuel availability and future service needs in the decision; software is one part of a maintained car, not a substitute for maintenance.
