M-style does not mean genuine M Sport
Separate genuine BMW parts from aftermarket styling kits, and read what the seller actually supplies. The reviewed Turner package combines specific front, side and rear styling elements; it should not be treated as proof that every component is an original BMW M Sport part. A package photograph is not a complete bill of materials.
Match the car’s equipment
Record the model year, pre-LCI or LCI configuration, parking sensors, headlight washers and any other bumper-mounted equipment. Establish which brackets, sensor holders, grilles, ducts, liners and lower panels transfer and which must be replaced. Ask for a kit-specific list before booking paint. A bumper cover alone may not finish the job.
Settle the rear outlet layout
The reviewed conversion listing specifies a particular dual-outlet rear arrangement and sensor provision. Compare that with your actual exhaust and diffuser. Do not assume a 328i outlet layout matches a 335i-styled rear cover. If an exhaust change is planned, choose its final outlet position before committing to the diffuser and finish work.
Test fit before paint
Ask the body shop to inspect the unpainted components and confirm gaps, mounting points and equipment fitment. Clarify the seller’s return conditions before modifying or painting anything. The firsthand Justin Buice rear-bumper walkthrough is useful for seeing the work involved on that specific car; it is not a guarantee that another kit has the same clips, hardware or fit quality.
Budget for the finished result
Include preparation, paint matching, hardware, related trim and labor, not just the advertised cover price. Keep the original parts if reversibility matters. Avoid cutting or relocating equipment without the correct technical procedure. After assembly, verify the relevant lights and parking equipment rather than judging success only from a photograph.
A coherent conversion is planned as a system. If the supplier cannot confirm your equipment and parts list, resolve those gaps before placing the order.
