Plan the work around a complete kit
Lay the parts out in two groups and keep the instruction-sheet illustrations beside the car. Photograph each original hose connection and both ground-strap attachment points before touching them. This is an editorial organization method: the photographs provide a useful comparison when a connector or bracket orientation is uncertain. Record the kit number and vehicle identification in the job notes so later service questions refer to the actual installation, rather than a similar-looking separator.
Fit the passenger-side bracket
Replace the two passenger-side ground-strap bolts with the supplied studbolts: 12 Nm (106 lb-in). Fit the right bracket over them and secure its locknuts to 10 Nm (88 lb-in). Release the engine appearance cover; pull back the grey connector tabs to remove the original right PCV tube.

Connect both separators
Install the right canister and its hoses as illustrated. Lightly oil connector O-rings with engine oil. The camcover connects to the lower canister inlet. Remove the left PCV tube. Mount its bracket on the coolant-reservoir studbolt using the remaining locknut, tightened to 10 Nm (88 lb-in). Fit the left canister and hoses, again connecting the camcover to the lower inlet and lightly oiling O-rings.

Keep the installation serviceable
Ford describes draining by disconnecting the canister PCV lines, removing the canister and emptying the collected oil. Keep the instructions with the service record so the routing can be checked again after removal. The product page does not establish a universal drain interval; ask the installer to define an inspection schedule for the car’s actual use. Record what is found at each inspection rather than assuming both sides collect identical amounts.
