Remove the intake
Lift the cover, unplug MAF, release crankcase ventilation and loosen the tube clamps. Lift out the factory intake.

Assemble the shield
Install the MAF housing and mounting posts. Cut edge trim into 24-, 15- and 9-inch pieces and fit as illustrated. Transfer the sensor and seat the posts in factory grommets.

Connect the tube
Fit 084101 at the MAF housing and 08618 at the throttle body. Install the tube fitting by hand plus two turns. Seat, align and clamp the tube. Reconnect crankcase ventilation and MAF; secure the filter and replace the cover.

Final check
Check alignment, clamps and connectors; reconnect the battery. Idle in Park/Neutral with the parking brake set. Resolve leaks/noises before road-testing; recheck connections periodically.
