Understand what is bypassed
NOCO explains that manual override forces supported Boost units on for batteries below normal detection voltage. It disables spark-proof and reverse-polarity protection. Treat it as a specialized function, not the first response whenever the vehicle will not start.

Verify the basic conditions first
Confirm the vehicle and jump pack’s supported battery voltage and chemistry, inspect for battery damage and check the correct jump points. Do not attempt to jump a frozen or visibly damaged battery. Follow the exact model manual; thresholds and controls differ between products.

Do not guess polarity
If battery condition, connections or polarity are uncertain, use professional assistance. A deeply discharged battery may need testing even after the engine starts. Repeatedly forcing a jump does not diagnose why the battery discharged or establish that it is safe to keep using.
