STEP 01

Address a sticking lockout

The plastic reverse-lockout dimensions can vary. For sticking inside the knob, the manufacturer supplies a thinner replacement O-ring. Remove the installed ring and substitute that thinner ring. If the problem persists, contact PERRIN rather than forcing the lockout.

Check adapter position separately

The anti-rattle feature operates only within the adapter’s stated adjustment range, approximately one and a half turns from fully seated. If the adapter has been backed off too far, its O-ring may no longer contact the plastic lockout. Revisit the official alignment procedure instead of treating that symptom as an O-ring-thickness problem.
