Prepare the mount
Remove the factory cover’s right-side 10mm bolt and lift its left side. Remove the unused rubber grommet. Disconnect and reroute the nearby harness behind the bracket as illustrated, then reconnect it. Apply the supplied tape along the bracket’s upper edge.

Install the cover
Put the short spacer into the former grommet hole and the tall spacer over the threaded hole. Place a washer beneath each bolt head. Use the long bolt at the tall spacer, with threadlocker as recommended. Fit the short bolt, lower washer and locknut at the other side.

Align and revisit
Align the cover and tighten the bolts to 130 in-lb. Press the cover onto the tape and recheck hardware after several days. If the cover is later removed, retain the tape: it also serves as a contact bumper.
