Use the model-year guidance

The 2020 Mazda3 tire-rotation page specifies rotation every 10,000 miles and recommends 5,000 miles to help distribute wear. Confirm the applicable market maintenance schedule and the installed tire arrangement before choosing the pattern.

Inspect while the wheels are off

Look for uneven wear, damage and balance concerns. Rotation redistributes positions but does not correct poor alignment or incorrect pressure. Do not include the temporary spare in the normal rotation.

Respect the fitted tires

Follow Mazda’s pattern restrictions for directional, asymmetric or studded tires and any additional tire-manufacturer instructions. Restore the specified pressures and verify wheel-fastener tightening after the work. Modified staggered fitments may prevent the original rotation pattern, so do not blindly swap assemblies.
