Stop treating it as cosmetic

An outward bubble can indicate damaged internal structure, often after an impact. Do not plan to drive until it wears away or try to repair it with sealant. Arrange a tire inspection and replacement as required, using roadside assistance if the vehicle cannot be moved safely.

Preserve useful evidence

Photograph the area, note a recent pothole or curb strike and have the wheel inspected too. Air pressure can look normal despite internal damage. A smooth inward indentation from radial construction is a different observation, but uncertainty needs a professional assessment rather than a photo-only diagnosis.

Choose the replacement correctly

Match the required size, load and speed specification and account for axle and AWD matching rules. Ask whether the remaining tread depths permit a single replacement. The immediate goal is restoring a safe set, not finding a way to keep the visibly damaged tire in service.
