Two media, two routines
Pro DRY S is oil-free synthetic media; Pro 5R uses oiled cotton gauze. This affects cleaning supplies and the final service step. Do not apply oil to Pro DRY S or assume a cleaned Pro 5R is ready to reinstall without its prescribed oil treatment.

Choose for your ownership
If you prefer fewer servicing steps, dry media may suit the routine. If choosing oiled media, allow proper cleaning, drying and measured re-oiling time. Manufacturer airflow claims do not establish a power difference on your car.

Check the exact replacement
Use the molded part number and aFe’s application listing. Similar-looking cone filters can differ in flange, shape and clearance. Keep the chosen media and cleaning instructions with the car’s records so a later service does not use the wrong kit.
