What changes
B12 is a matched spring-and-damper package. B14 adds a threaded height-adjustable arrangement on supported applications. A fixed-drop package can be the simpler choice when its intended stance and use match the car; adjustable height is useful when you have a reason to set the car within an approved range.
Do not compare only the advertised drop
Read the exact kit notes, including factory sport suspension, axle limits and electronic-damper exclusions. The quoted lowering range depends on the baseline vehicle. Compare usable travel, wheel clearance and the installation requirements, not just the largest possible drop.
Adjustment brings responsibility
Height changes can alter alignment and clearance. Record left/right heights on level ground after the kit has settled, keep threaded parts maintained as instructed and have the final setting aligned. The lowest available position is not automatically the best road setup.
A useful buying decision
Choose the fixed kit when its specification already meets the brief and adjustment would rarely be used. Choose the adjustable package when the approved adjustment range has a practical purpose. Neither label alone proves one will ride better on your exact wheel, tire and road combination.
