Compare the lowering brief, supporting hardware and daily-use compromises rather than treating lower as better.

The intended difference

Eibach positions Pro-Kit as its performance lowering spring line and Sportline as the more aggressive lowering direction. Exact drop and application notes differ by vehicle. Do not transfer a photograph or claimed measurement from another trim to your own car.

Measure the daily route

Note driveway breakover, speed humps, parking stops and tire clearance with passengers or cargo. A parked wheel-gap photograph tells little about full suspension movement. Decide how much ground clearance you can actually give up before selecting a spring kit.

Include damper condition

New springs do not renew old dampers or mounts. Verify approved damper pairing and inspect the existing components. Read whether the kit requires particular bump-stop treatment or hardware; never cut parts based on an unrelated installation video.

Plan the final setup

Book the required alignment after installation and settling, then recheck loaded clearance. Choose the package that meets the daily-use brief within its documented application. Manufacturer handling claims are not a guaranteed result for every tire, road surface or worn suspension.
