Borla says not to install this system on a vehicle without original NPP. The package includes both cylinder-deactivation and dual-mode exhaust valves, plus heat shielding. A matching model year alone is insufficient.

Book the final operation
Borla requires exhaust-actuator recalibration after installation and names GM document 5406413. It recommends a Chevrolet dealer for that service. Arrange the recalibration when booking the mechanical installation so the job has a defined endpoint.

Document completion
Keep the kit number, installation invoice and recalibration record together. Ask the installer to verify the supplied heat shielding and valve configuration against the actual vehicle.
