Make the compatibility decision before disassembly
Record the production date, engine identification and kit label in the job notes. If the truck’s history includes changed engine plumbing, ask Ford Performance to review that configuration before relying on the standard illustrations. Do not translate a missing build date into a guessed approval. An installation appointment should include time for this check, opening the package, and resolving missing pieces; these are useful tasks to finish while the truck remains intact.
Complete the driver side
Release connector tabs and pull upward to remove both original PCV tubes; a twisting motion may help. Remove the driver-side lifting eye. Install the left separator bracket with W714721-S437 bolts, torqued to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Lightly oil connector interiors. Preassemble the left outlet hose to its canister, mount the canister, then connect the inlet hose from the engine.

Complete the passenger side
Locate the threaded studs on the passenger camcover. Install the right bracket with W520201-S440 nuts, tightened to 10 Nm (88 lb-in). Lightly oil the connectors. Preassemble the right outlet hose to its separator, fit the separator to the bracket, and connect the engine-side inlet hose. Compare both routes with the sheet’s side-specific illustrations.

Avoid importing service advice from another canister
Ford describes this package as a purpose-built PCV oil-vapor separation system with vehicle-specific hoses and fittings. Keep that identity in the service record; a universal catch-can video is not a substitute for its documentation. The cited pages do not give a drain interval or detailed draining procedure. Obtain those instructions from Ford Performance before servicing the canisters. Ask for advice appropriate to the truck’s use and retain the response with the installation sheet.
