Prepare the complete procedure

The kit retains the lower airboxes and their mounting grommets while replacing the upper intake arrangement. Two turbo-inlet connections must be protected from debris when opened. Keep the illustrated revision and required BMW fastener information available.

Critical assembly checks

The front and rear couplers have different positions. Test-fit the plenum to establish alignment before tightening the inlet connections. Make sure both lower boxes sit in their mounts and the filters clear the lids.

Final inspection

Reconnect the disturbed electrical connector, complete the documented brace-seating sequence and secure every clamp. Remove all temporary inlet protection and tools. Do not force the plenum against a conflicting brace or substitute an improvised hose.
