Make a command deliberately
Speak the wake word toward the camera in a normal voice. Wait for the listening tone, then say Save Video to preserve a clip, Record Audio to enable its microphone recording, or Stop Audio to disable it. Listen for the recognition tone.

Improve recognition
Reduce background noise and say the wake word before each command. If several Garmin voice-enabled devices respond, choose a different Wake Word through Garmin Drive rather than shouting over competing devices.

Verify before relying on it
While parked, make a test command and review the result in the camera’s recordings. A spoken phrase without a confirmation tone is not a verified save. Use the app’s Voice Commands setting to turn the feature off if you do not want voice activation.
