Use glass-safe materials

Choose a cleaner suitable for the glass and any tint or coating. Use dedicated clean towels rather than one carrying wax, interior dressing or tire product. Work out of strong sun on cool glass so cleaner does not flash dry immediately.

Clean, then finish

Apply product to the towel where needed to control overspray. Clean a manageable section, then use a separate clean towel for the final wipe. Inspect from more than one angle; a windshield can look clear indoors and show haze against low sunlight.

Investigate recurring film

If haze returns unusually quickly, note odors, dampness and HVAC behavior and have the cause assessed. Repeated cleaning is useful maintenance, but it should not conceal a persistent moisture or contamination problem. Keep camera areas within the vehicle maker’s cleaning guidance.
