TEIN EnduraPro vs EnduraPro Plus: when damping adjustment matters

Separate an original-shape replacement damper from a height-adjustable coilover.

Start with the architecture

EnduraPro products use an original-equipment-shape damper rather than making the suspension a height-adjustable coilover. EnduraPro Plus adds damping adjustment on supported applications. Retaining original spring seating does not mean every lowering spring or top mount is approved.

Choose a reason to adjust

Adjustment is useful when you will test changes methodically on the same route and tire pressures. It adds little value if the only goal is repairing worn original dampers and the controls will never be used. Follow the kit’s adjustment direction and limits rather than counting clicks from another brand.

Check access before purchase

Ask whether adjustment remains accessible after installation. Include any special hardware or electronic-controller compatibility in the quote. Verify the exact car, axle, suspension option and catalog part number.

Inspect the supporting parts

Springs, mounts, boots and bump stops still need inspection. A new damper cannot remove noise caused by a damaged mount or loose suspension joint. Record the baseline settings and change one variable at a time after the installation and alignment are complete.
