Identify the circuit

Switch off the ignition and electrical accessories. Use the vehicle’s fuse diagram to identify the circuit and compare the fitted rating with the specified one. A forum photograph of a different year or equipment package is not enough to select a fuse.

Replace only like for like

Use the supplied puller where specified and install the correct amperage fuse securely. Never bridge a fuse or substitute a higher rating to keep a circuit alive. Mazda specifically directs main-fuse replacement to qualified service because incorrect handling can cause a dangerous fault.

If it blows again

Stop replacing it repeatedly. Record which circuit fails, when it fails and any recent accessory installation. A fuse protects the wiring; repeated failure is a diagnostic clue, not evidence that a larger fuse is required.
