Choose the correct instruction branch

The manufacturer separates 1 Series and 3 Series installations. Bumper access, duct pieces and shields differ; this is not one universal bolt-on sequence.

Sources 1

Confirm the hidden differences

The E92 heat-shield choice depends on the brake-duct configuration associated with the original oil-cooler arrangement. The E93 instructions involve specific brace alteration. Those details must be resolved before dismantling—not improvised after the car is apart.

Prepare the complete job

Inventory the exact kit pieces and compare the applicable illustrations with the vehicle. If wheel removal or structural-adjacent fabrication is required, arrange correct support, the vehicle repair instructions and a qualified installer. Do not work under a jack-only vehicle.
