Inventory more than the core
Mishimoto supplies an intercooler, deflector-panel kit and bracket kit. The design uses rubber sandwich mounts at the subframe, foam seals and a bottom air deflector. Include those pieces when assessing a used or incomplete package.

Understand the interfaces
The manufacturer describes compatibility with stock ducting and both factory and Mishimoto intercooler pipes, without cutting. It also describes use with the stock calibration. Those statements concern the named package, not every other modification already installed on a car.

Plan the whole installation
Ask the installer to account for brackets, isolators, seals and deflector in the finished job. Treat the provided sensor port as a separate planning item if additional instrumentation is proposed.
