Length is not the whole fitment
Rain-X provides separate installation instructions for different arm connections. A blade with the correct length can still have the wrong adapter or be assembled incorrectly. Identify the arm style and exact blade family first.

Use the matching illustrated instructions
Compare the connector with the manufacturer’s diagram before releasing the old blade. Protect the glass from the spring-loaded arm and avoid forcing plastic tabs. Do not combine leftover adapters from different blade models because they appear close.

Check retention before driving
Confirm the locking feature is fully engaged and the blade cannot slide off. Lower the arm gently, wet the glass and test the full sweep. If the adapter feels loose or the blade contacts another component, correct the installation before relying on it in rain.
