Separate bars, feet and fit kit

A roof rack is a collection of application-dependent parts. Existing bars may be reusable while the feet or vehicle-specific fit kit need changing. Similar roof shapes do not establish compatibility.

Identify what you own

Record the part numbers from the bars, feet and fitting hardware. Enter the new vehicle’s exact body and roof type in the manufacturer fit guide, including raised rails, flush rails or a bare roof. Compare the complete recommended combination.

Inspect before reusing

Check clamps, pads, threads and bars for wear or crash damage. Obtain missing instructions and replace damaged hardware with approved parts. Follow the new car’s roof load limit and rack positioning even if the old setup carried the same cargo successfully.
